As a stand-alone loudspeaker, Blackline Q8 offers exceptional versatility across a wide range of professional applications — from distributed sound reinforcement and houses of worship to AV events, front-fill/in-fill duties, and even as a compact stage monitor.
When paired with a BlacklineQ subwoofer, it becomes a simple yet powerful system ideal for portable use or fixed installations requiring an unobtrusive solution capable of delivering pristine sound over short to medium throw distances.
Q8 is constructed from durable plywood and finished in a tough black textured paint. It features a screw-fixed steel grille, M6 inserts for wall brackets, M8 inserts for yokes or eyebolt suspension, and a pole-mount socket with a removable cover to maintain clean lines in installed applications.
This full-range, passive two-way system is recommended to be used with a processor and amplifier, or a combined amplifier-processor unit, such as a DX processor and VIA amplifier, or an iKON combined amplifier and processor.
Blackline Q8 is an ultra-compact, passive two-way loudspeaker featuring an 8” (200mm) LF driver with a 2” (50mm) voice coil and a 1” (25mm) exit HF compression driver with a 1” (25mm) dome. It has a Differential Dispersion horn for wider and more consistent coverage, which can be easily rotated for horizontal or vertical orientation depending on deployment needs. Despite its small size, Q8 delivers impressive performance, achieving a peak SPL of 121dB (127dB with crest factor 4).
